Mathieu Castagnet begins the new year at the J.P Morgan tournament of champions 2016, starting on January 7th, with a tricky first round game against Stephen Coppinger of South Africa. The World number 20 will prove a tough test for the Frenchman, but if he continues his form of 2015, then he should progress easily.
2015 was a big year for Castagnet, as not only was he crowned French National Champion, it was the first time he enter the world top 10, reaching 8th in November. Currently ranked 10th in the world, we at Black Knight believe that 2016 will see the best squash from Castagnet yet, and playing with his new signature racket (picutred below) due to be released later this year, he'll b doing it in style!
