Success for new signing Chloe Birch and Ashaway in the Nationals
What a weekend at the Nationals for Ashaway!
New signing Chloe Birch narrowly missed out on the national title, losing the womens singles final 21-15, 21-16 to Fontaine Chapman. However, she did come back to defeat the same opponent in the NBL the following Monday. Well done Chloe!
Tom Wolfenden also put in a strong performance; reaching the final of the Mens Doubles with partner Peter Briggs and Connor Bambrick enjoyed success in the mens doubles; going out in the quarter finals.
Another Ashaway signing, Rohan Midha had an encouraging weekend in the Mens Singles, eventually losing out to the tournament winner Rajiv Ouseph in the Quarter Finals.
Ashaway's newest string the Zymax Fire was dominating the field with a flood of orange string around the venue.
